The Hellacopters

One of my all time, top 10 favorite bands! Formed in Sweden in 1994 and then calling it quits in 2007, releasing 6 full length albums (not a bad run). The band consisted of Nicke Andersson (singer, guitarist), Dregen (guitar) who was later replaced by Robert Dahlqvist, Kenny Håkansson (bass), Robert Eriksson (drums) and Anders Lindström (keyboard). I had the good fortune to see them live in 2002 at The Rave in Milwaukee! One of the greatest live shows that I've ever seen. I even met Kenny and Robert at a Taco Bell before the show and got to talk to them for a little bit.

Their music is a blend of 60's and 70's blues fueled rock (think the MC5, Stooges, The Saints, Radio Birdman...etc.) with a Swedish spin. If you ever get the chance to check them out you won't be disappointed! Check out their website here!
